Crains Technologies was incorporated in 1997 as a pioneer status company under the laws of Mauritius. It has successfully expanded to emerge as a leader in the IT Services business in Mauritius

Management Team

Our management team consists of operational heads with post-graduate qualifications in Information Technology and Business Management, an entrepreneurial mindset and customer-centric attitude.

1. Baljinder Sharma, CEO, holds a graduate degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and an MBA in General Management. He has accumulated experience of 16 years in software engineering, hardware design, technical support, project management and strategy. He is 38 years old.
2. Rajesh Desai, Director, has extensive experience in the services sector with stints in the Airlines, Marine and Technology industry. He qualified as an Accountant from the Bombay University. He looks after the operations, delivery and large account relationships of the company. He is 35 years old.
3. Kishore Vekaria, Director, joined HCL Ltd in 1989 after completing a Master’s Degree in Physics and Mathematics. He worked at a senior position with a mid-sized systems integration and consulting firm for six years before joining Crains Technologies.
He is a certified Internet Security expert and as a Director in charge of Technology, his responsibilities include product and services development, research and technical support and training. He is 42 years old.

Crains serves the market in Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, India, East Africa and Europe. Crains has a record of consistent high growth in revenues and profits and its is profitable since inception

Milestones

• 1997 - Established the largest PC Retail network in Mauritius ( six locations)
• 1997 - Exports to Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Seychelles, Malawi and Tanzania through Free Operations.
• 1998 - Entry into Software Services Business
• 1999 - Established Presence in India
• 2000 - Partnership with Oracle Education trained over 300 Oracle Certified Professionals
• 2000 - Partnership with Fujitsu Siemens Computer
• 2001 - Established Offshore Development Centre in India.
• 2001 - Executed turnkey contracts for a UK Plc and a Wireless operator in India
• 2001 - Incorporation of Crains Software Technologies Inc in the US
• 2002 - Executed contract with a major US Corporation.
• 2004 - Acquisition of NIIT Operations
• 2005 - Acquisition of Sunbow Technologies, a BPO operations serving French language customers in Europe.
